Fireworks Went Up, a Boy Went Down

As the new year starts, a child was born and his parents named him Jansen Harvey Reyes. That was me. I am now 15 years old. I live with my family at Pantay Laud, Vigan City. My father’s name is Richard Reyes. My mother’s name is Diana Reyes. I also have a younger sister named Jarina Chloe Reyes. And I am here to talk more about myself and share my future plans in my life.

I see myself as a person with an artistic soul and creative mind. I am enthusiastic about art related stuff because of my talent, drawing and sketching. I also see myself as a competitive person in a sense that I always compete in art competitions. Those competitions that I’ve joined help me improve or hone my artistic skills. Now that I am 15 years old, I am exploring more about my talent and skills. Besides drawing in the traditional way, I am trying to draw digitally. The reason is that I want to know more about art and be more versatile in it. Additionally, I believe that “talent is a pursued interest and anything you are willing to practice, you can do.”  That quote motivates me to improve my talent. They also say that I am an “intelligent” person, but I am not that kind of person. I only see myself as a person with a widespread knowledge.

Aside from talking about my talent, I am also here to talk about my future plans. First, I want to finish the course that I will choose because currently, I still can’t decide what job I want or what I want to become in the future. Second, I want to have a successful life in the future. In a sense that I will have a better life. Lastly, I want to give back all the hard work and sacrifices that my parents gave to me.

My Journey Through ICT: Level Up

In my journey through ICT for the 3rd quarter, I have learned a lot in making our Community Based Research (CBR) and making our own Web design. I learned that working with a community and the utilization of participatory research method can be a crucial way in order to collect important information. Aside from that, I can also think of recommendations to solve the problems that the community faces.  Working on the Web design was also a great experience that gives me the opportunity to learn more about coding with HTML. In addition to this, it also introduces me to learn about Cascading Style Sheet (CSS). Learning this coding language helps me to design and style a HTML document. In this quarter, I also learned how important is to work together as a team in a group project.  During the quarter, I didn't encounter any problems in ICT. The lessons were clear and manageable. I was able to complete tasks without difficulty and even enjoyed exploring new making our CBR and Web desig...

Vigan City, known for its rich history and cultural heritage, has been transformed greatly over the time. From being a municipality to a city, it continues to allure both locals and tourists.                     Vigan before was a municipality known for its well-preserved Spanish architecture, like the famous cobble streets and ancestral houses. The life of biguenos was simpler, and its economy was largely dependent on agriculture and small businesses. On September 7, 2001, under Republic Act No. 8988.
