Chinese New Year 2025

Filipinos celebrate Chinese New Year because of the strong influence of Chinese culture in the Philippines. Many Filipino traditions, belief, and even foods have been influenced by Chinese migration and trade. The celebration of Chinse New Year is greatly observed in places with large Filipino-Chinese communities, such as Binondo, Manila, the world's oldest Chinatown. That's why we can observed that most of the Filipinos celebrate this holiday by doing such activities.

During Chinese New Year, many Filipinos like to give ampao, a small red enveloped filled with money, to their fellow Filipinos. They also enjoy eating Chinese foods when celebrating this holiday. Tikoy is one of the most prominent Chinese food that Filipinos love to eat and share in Chinses New Year. Malls, schools, offices, and other public places even decorate with red lanterns and other Chinese themed decorations. Moreover, Filipinos love to watch dragon dance and lion dance on the road. These traditions symbolizes prosperity, good luck, and fresh start for the year ahead.

In conclusion, Filipinos embrace the celebration not just for luck but but also a way to appreciate diversity and unity between Chinese and Filipinos. The event is a reminder of the deep connection between Filipino and Chinese cultures, showing how traditions can blend and bring people together in joy and hope for a prosperous year.

My Journey Through ICT: Level Up

In my journey through ICT for the 3rd quarter, I have learned a lot in making our Community Based Research (CBR) and making our own Web design. I learned that working with a community and the utilization of participatory research method can be a crucial way in order to collect important information. Aside from that, I can also think of recommendations to solve the problems that the community faces.  Working on the Web design was also a great experience that gives me the opportunity to learn more about coding with HTML. In addition to this, it also introduces me to learn about Cascading Style Sheet (CSS). Learning this coding language helps me to design and style a HTML document. In this quarter, I also learned how important is to work together as a team in a group project.  During the quarter, I didn't encounter any problems in ICT. The lessons were clear and manageable. I was able to complete tasks without difficulty and even enjoyed exploring new making our CBR and Web desig...
